Blaauwklippen Picnic Delight
We fly you from the V&A Waterfront into the winelands to Blaauwklippen Wine Estate. Blaauwklippen, nestled on the slopes of the Stellenbosch Mountain, is one of the oldest wine farms in South Africa dating back to 1682 and is situated in the picturesque town of Stellenbosch. The name Blaauwklippen comes from the Dutch word meaning “blue rocks”.
On arrival a glass of "Ons Sprankel" will be offered. You will then be escorted to the wine tasting room, where you will savour a selection of Blaauwklippen wines It will then be time to enjoy a sumptuous picnic on the sprawling lawns with the picturesque mountains as your backdrop.
The picnic includes: A medley of cheeses, charcuterie, white wine poached pear, gruyere and onion quiche, served with a beetroot, feta and rocket salad. The selection of freshly baked breads, chicken liver pate, bacon jam, hummus and pickles is perfectly rounded off by a dark chocolate brownie, a mini milk tart and a white chocolate truffle..
A picnic would not be the same without your "chilled" bottle of Blaauwklippen Diva MCC bubbly!
Your helicopter will return in the afternoon for your flight back to the V&A Waterfront - A delightful day that will be a lasting memory!
